Step: Execute Task

This step lets you execute a script on your local system and pass it parameters from the package table variables.

Can use table variable values

Allows FreeMarker Expressions

  • Batch/Shell Script: The drop down of available batch files that will be executed.
    • Batch files are the only available option for executing scripts saved within the workspace
      • Batch files (e.g. *.bat, *.sh) available for selection must be saved in [workspace]\config\application\scripts\exec
    • Arguments: A comma-separated list of arguments that you want to pass to the script. FreeMarker is allowed so you can pass in values from package variables. Inside the script, these arguments are represented as $1, $2, etc.
  • Output Variables:
    • Output Variable: Name of package variable where the process's standard output will be captured.
    • Error Output Variable: Names a package variable where the process's standard error output will be captured.
    • Exit Code Variable: Names a package variable where the process's exit code will be captured. (0 usually indicates a normal exit)
